24th October 2010 – Sandringham, England.

Feeling lots better today thankfully. Damo and Maria had arranged for her Mum and Dad – Pete and Jan and all of us to go to visit the Queen’s residence in Sandringham (knowing what a royalist I am!)

We had a fabulous day even if the weather was not very kind to us! It rained lightly off and on and was overcast and a very very icy wind.

We wandered around the grounds of Sandringham, went through the house and the museum and then to the local church where the royals walk to for their Christmas service. It was a very cute little church. Also had lunch at the Stables tearooms.

Sandringham is different to Windsor Castle in that being the Queen’s home had a much cosier feel about it.

Headed back to Ely and then left immediately for London. One more day and then Tuesday will be spent packing, dropping campervan off and catching buses or trains to Heathrow!

Whoops the camera accidentally clicked - inside the church - the royals sit where the choir normally would and the choir sits at the back. Princess Beatrice and Eugenie christened here
