Richard and Geoff went and dropped off the cartons at the freight company while I chatted to Karen and updated the blog.
Just before we left we walked down to the shops – only 2 mins walk!. I needed to top up my phone and bought some lovely raspberries and blueberries. Sad to say goodbye to Karen and Richard - they have been very good to us and its great to catch up with friends along the road, otherwise it would be a long lonely time!
It was about 4pm by this stage and we were going to head for Windsor as I want to visit the castle tomorrow – however on the way we saw the sign to Lewes and Geoff wanted to check out a jacket there so we ended up going there for an hour. The jacket however was a disappointment but not Lewes.
We then headed to Windsor however as we had been warned it took a lot longer than what Tom told us because of the traffic conditions on the M25. We also went the wrong way a couple of times so consequently it was 8pm before we arrived at a camp and believe it or not the lady told me off for coming so late!!! Does she want our money or not!!! The camp shop was actually still open but she muttered she was going on holiday next week and we would have found it all closed up if today had been next week – SO!!! We would have just moved on and parked on the side of the road!!
Anyway it is good to be in a four star camp (previous one was five star) and also with a heated toilet block.
Just love the Brighton Pier
Along the waterfront there are awesome buildings - a lot of hotels
The yummy cafe
This was the butter dish - the cafe very retro
Coming into Lewes (looks like the White Cliffs of Dover)
Lewes
The beautiful sunset driving down the M25
As you may be able to see - the camper was parked in a hurry! You can't quite see the frost.
