Got the shuttle at 6.00am so we were in good time. The flight left at 8.00am and we got to Malaga, Spain at about 11.00am.
We have got a little Smart car – it is so cute and its so funny after the big camper!!
We headed down to Gibraltar to “the rock”. It was a fabulous drive down the Costa De Sol. It reminds me so much of the Gold coast with all the Palms etc (and the sun was shining)! The views were amazing.
Beautiful coast all the way
The Crown Plaza - amazing views (why aren't we booked there)

Geoff like these cacti
The pool and the beach - superb
I know the rock is a landmark but not too impressed with Gibraltar on the whole. We had a late lunch at an “English Pub” – Geoff had a pie and I had fish and chips! The shops were all closed being siesta time and Sunday other than a few “duty free” shops with queues of people buying their cigarettes. We had parked and walked across through customs. We had to show our passports about three times but other than that it was easy.
Don't you just love our little car!
Very American looking diner

Border control to Gibraltar
The rock
and again
even British telephone boxes
We then headed to Medina Sidonia a white village in the hills. Very narrow cobbled streets and it was a novelty for us to drive right around the town. We took some photos and then headed to Arcros de la Frontera across some fairly barren land. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere and then a neat Spanish town would appear.

We found the most gorgeous little boutique hotel (more like a B&B) in Arcros de la Frontera although there were some language difficulties! We can look out our window to the street below and the town – it is so Spanish and absolutely spotless. Has the lovely mosaic tiles we have seen in these two villages.
We then went for a walk to town and ended up having a 4 cheese pizza and glass of red wine for tea. We are both fairly tired tonight – Geoff especially – so I haven’t even the energy to make use of the lovely spa bath – perhaps in the morning!
Don't you just love our room - such luxury after our camper!
