Uninspiring drive today – a bit drizzly, very cold and not as nice as driving through South of France..
We arrived at camp and found the washing was going to cost 18 euros for two loads (black and white) and two driers, internet however was free and the camp only 11 euros. Anyway I negotiated with him and got the washing and drying for 10 euros. However what I didn’t realize was how long the washing machine would take.
The first thing that happened is we got stuck. A nice man towed us out and we parked so the front wheels were still on the road. By the time we sorted this is was 7.00pm so I said to Geoff I would put the first load of washing on (incl our sheets) and while it was doing it I would update the blog (the internet only worked by the office). Well it got colder and darker and still the washing machine was chugging along,. It took TWO hours! However because I had negotiated such a good deal I was determined to do all the washing so the final wash finished at 11.15pm!
If you could see me in the freezing cold – jackets and beanies and even my leather gloves (although a bit hard to blog with them!) Anyway got our trip to Spain on there and all the washing done so all good really although we have another early start tomorrow to get the ferry to Dover.
Called in for some last French pastries!
